Eagles Practice Squad Adds Three New Players

The Philadelphia Eagles added three players to their 2023 practice squad on Thursday afternoon.

The Eagles signed DT Thomas Booker, T Le’Raven Clark, and CB Tiawan Mullen to the practice squad.

Let’s take a closer look at the Eagles’ newest practice squad signings.

DT Thomas Booker 

A fifth-round pick in 2022, Booker finished with 15 tackles and 0.5 sacks with the Texans last season. 

He appeared to have taken a step forward during the preseason, where he made five tackles and had a sack, but it wasn’t enough to make the Texans’ roster. 

At 6-foot-3, 301 pounds, Booker has impressive athleticism for his size. At the NFL Combine, he posted an athleticism score of 69, which ranked 7th among all defensive tackles in his draft class.

T Le’Raven Clark

A former third-round pick, Clark has bounced around the league since being drafted by the Indianapolis Colts. He made 18 starts from 2016-2022 and has more NFL experience than any player on the Eagles practice squad aside from Arryn Sipos. 

Most recently, Clark spent training camp with the Pittsburgh Steelers, but he actually spent time with Philadelphia a few seasons ago. 

In 2021, Clark was active for four contests and even started a game before signing with the Tennessee Titans the following year.

CB Tiawan Mullen

Mullen is a talented cornerback that the Eagles have had their eyes on since his days at Indiana.

The cousin of Baltimore Ravens’ quarterback Lamar Jackson, Mullen is part of a strong lineage of NFL players. Mullen’s older brother, Trayvon, played at Clemson and was a 2019 second-round pick of the Raiders.

While Mullen isn’t tall (5-foot-8), he’s a quick-twitch athlete who excels in both man and zone coverage. He was ​​Indiana’s Most Outstanding Defensive Player in 2020 (38 tackles, 4.5 for loss with 3.5 sacks, three interceptions, four pass breakups) but injuries derailed his college career.
