An Amazon Prime Video documentary tracking Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce’s journey through the 2022 season is set to be unveiled in the next month.
On Monday, August 14, Amazon and Skydance revealed their latest venture, ‘Kelce’.
Directed by Don Argott of 9.14 Pictures, the documentary will follow Eagles’ team captain and All-Pro center Jason Kelce throughout the Super Bowl 2023 run.
The documentary will premiere on Prime Video on September 12, just two days before the Eagles’ Week 2 Thursday Night Football matchup versus the Minnesota Vikings.
What To Expect From ‘Kelce’
Amazon has described the documentary as a profoundly “emotional journey” through the Eagles’ Super Bowl campaign.
The Prime Video special centers on Kelce’s exploits during the 2022-23 season. It begins by confronting a question that has been quietly haunting Eagles fans — will Jason Kelce retire?
Widely regarded as the best center in the NFL, Kelce has secured a spot on the first-team All-Pro roster in five out of the past six seasons. Last season, Kelce was instrumental in propelling the Eagles to Super Bowl LVII and he remains a key component of Philadelphia’s rushing attack.
Will Travis Kelce Be In The Documentary?
Kelce is also the brother of Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, who is expected to make an appearance in the film.
Together, the Kelce brothers have also garnered attention off the field with their renowned “New Heights” podcast.
The documentary will follow Kelce’s magical 2022 campaign, taking fans through the ups and downs of a historic Eagles’ season. Football fans will get to experience the highs of a 14-3 year, along with the hype from Super Bowl week that put the Kelce family in the spotlight.
Unfortunately for Eagles fans, they will also have to relive the disappointment of the 38-35 loss against the Kansas City Chiefs.
