The Philadelphia Eagles’ training camp is underway and a few veterans have already taken notice of one rookie making plays in the early going. Lane Johnson, Fletcher Cox, and Brandon Graham recently named rookie Nolan Smith as a player that could make an immediate impact and become the team’s best trash-talker in the not-so-distant future.
In a recent interview with Kay Adams for the Up and Adams Show, some of the Philadelphia Eagles‘ best players were asked who the top trash-talker on the team has been during training camp.
For nearly a decade, veteran linebacker Brandon Graham has been universally regarded as the team’s best trash-talker.
When asked by Kay Adams, Graham said that he believes rookie Nolan Smith could unseat him as the team’s best trash-talker in the near future.
While Smith hasn’t been boastful during practice, he’s shown flashes of dominance on the edge as a pass rusher, along with the versatility to drop back in coverage or put his hand in the ground on the defensive line. Not only does Smith have the speed and athleticism to disrupt opposing offenses, he’s apparently not been shy about letting his opponents, or his teammates, know about it.
Check out what Graham, Johnson, and Cox had to say about the rookie below:
