Rubin sold his stake in the 76ers to Adelman, making him the owner of his hometown team, a surreal experience for a Philly sports fan.
Adelman Calls Philly Fans Passionate, Not Ruthless
When asked if Philly fans were the most ruthless, Adelman corrected Kleiman, preferring the term passionate instead.
“Is it ruthless or is it passionate?” questioned Adelman.
The 76ers’ co-owner commended the loyalty of Philly fans, saying that they hold the players and owners to a high standard. Adelman himself isn’t immune from criticism from fans.
“And this is about Philly fans because I appreciate the passion and my Twitter is getting blown up,” said Adelman. “Oh man, there’s no mercy even though I’m from Philly.”
